Gates of Gatot Kaca: the 96.50% RTP, the 20-payline wording and what 5,000x means in pesos
Published — UTC

Short answer: Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Gatot Kaca game page lists an RTP of 96.50%. Its page text also says the game has 20 paylines. A third-party profile site lists the same game as a Pay Anywhere 6 × 5 game, with a maximum win of 5,000x, medium volatility, no ante bet and no Bonus Buy. The two descriptions do not agree on how wins are formed. We could not settle that from the sources, so this article reports both. In pesos, at 96.50% a ₱20 bet over 100 spins gives an average loss of about ₱70, and the 5,000x ceiling is ₱100,000 per ₱20 bet.
What each source says
The table lists what each source shows. The Pragmatic Play page is the provider’s own page. The profile site is a third party and is used only where we say so.

Why paylines and Pay Anywhere matter
A payline game pays when matching symbols land on one of a fixed set of lines. A Pay Anywhere game pays when matching symbols land anywhere on the grid, with no lines. The two work differently for a bettor. The line count changes how the bet is split and how often a win is counted. A payline reading and a Pay Anywhere reading also imply different hit patterns for the same symbols.
The demo game information for the same game symbol (vs20gatotgates) returns a line-bet field set to 20 and a default bet of 0.10, along with a paytable. That is consistent with a 20-line structure, but it does not settle the question, because the field alone does not say whether wins are counted by line or by cluster. Until the provider’s own page states the pay type clearly, treat the two descriptions as unresolved.
The 96.50% RTP in pesos
RTP is a long-run average. The house edge is 100% minus RTP, which here is 3.50%. Our calculation, using only that figure:
| Bet per spin | Spins | Total wagered | Average loss at 96.50% |
|---|---|---|---|
| ₱20 | 100 | ₱2,000 | ₱70.00 |
| ₱20 | 1,000 | ₱20,000 | ₱700.00 |
| ₱50 | 1,000 | ₱50,000 | ₱1,750.00 |
These averages do not describe any single session. A session can finish well above or below them, and the spread is wider for a higher-volatility game than for a lower one.

The 5,000x maximum win in pesos
The profile lists a 5,000x maximum win. Our arithmetic gives the ceiling for a single bet, not the odds of reaching it:
- ₱20 bet: 5,000 × ₱20 = ₱100,000
- ₱50 bet: 5,000 × ₱50 = ₱250,000
The sources we read do not give the probability of reaching the cap, so the ceiling should not be read as an expected result.
What we did not check
- Pay type. The conflict between “20 paylines” and “Pay Anywhere” is unresolved in this article. A demo spin log would show whether wins pay by line or by cluster, and we have not run one.
- Hit frequency and feature odds. Neither source gives a hit frequency, so no probability of winning in a session is calculated here.
- Play. We did not play the game for money, and no session results are shown.
